How to Build a Weekly Numbers Brief From Three CSV Files

You can build a working tool for your business in one evening. No developer, no agency, no waiting for a quote.
That was the whole point of the October 14 roundtable. Members walked out with something they could open on their phone or laptop the next morning. Two of the live examples are written up so you can copy them tonight.
Two tools you can build this week
Margin calculator
Materials + labor hours + rate + selling price. Shows margin dollars, percent, and a warning if you are under target. One self-contained HTML file you can open on your phone. The finished version is embedded in the how-to so you can try it.
Weekly numbers brief
Drop three CSV exports in a folder. Get a one-page brief: this week vs last week for revenue, expenses, leads, and margin, plus a takeaway and top lead source.
The four steps that turn a description into a file

- Describe the outcome. Plain English: who uses it, what it does, what done looks like. Include one edge case.
- Get a ready prompt. Ask the chat: “Give me a complete prompt for Claude Code or Grok Build.”
- Run it. In Claude Code, select the folder and paste the prompt. In Grok Build, paste it and watch the preview. Open the result and test it.
- Bring notes back. Paste errors or “it did X instead of Y.” Iterate until it works. That is part of the process.
Other tools people built the same night
- Job quote calculator with an email note you can paste
- Reorder alert that flags low stock
- Simple invoice generator or expense tracker
- Listing comparison sheet for realtors
Each one started as two sentences. Then the AI wrote the file. The same four steps work for any of them.
The limit is not the technology. It is picking something small enough that you will actually use the result on Monday.
